1. Who we are
The game The Templar Secret and this website are run by Treasure Hunt s.r.o., Platnéřská 88/9, Staré Město, 110 00 Praha 1, Czech Republic, company ID (IČO) 05497230, VAT ID CZ05497230, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 264679 (“we”). Contact: e-mail info@tablettreasurehuntprague.cz, phone and WhatsApp +420 775 961 430.
These terms apply to buying access codes on this website and to playing the game. By paying for a code you agree to them.
2. What you buy
You buy an access code to the self-guided outdoor game The Templar Secret in Prague’s Old Town, played on your own phone in a web browser. Each code is for one team. You choose the version before paying:
- Full game – 9 places, about 90 minutes,
- Short game – 6 places, about 60 minutes.
The game starts at Charles Bridge, by the statue of Charles IV at the Old Town Bridge Tower. You need a smartphone with mobile data, a charged battery and location services. Playing outdoors, the route and the places may be affected by events, building work or closures outside our control; the game can be played without entering any building.
3. Price and payment
Prices are shown on the website before you pay and include VAT. You pay online by card or another method offered on the payment page, provided by Stripe. The contract is made once the payment has gone through. You receive a tax document (receipt) by e-mail. Do you need an invoice for your company? Write to us and we will issue one.
4. Delivery of the code
Your code appears on screen right after payment and we e-mail it to the address you entered, usually within a minute. If it does not arrive within 15 minutes (check your spam folder), contact us.
5. Validity and use
- An unused code is valid for 12 months from purchase.
- Once you enter the code for the first time, it works for 4 hours, on up to 2 phones.
- A code is for one team and must not be resold or published. We may block a code that is used against these terms.
6. Withdrawal and refunds
If you buy as a consumer, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, as long as the code has not been used yet. Write to us at the e-mail above with your code or order; you can use the form below, but you don’t have to. We refund the full price to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving your request.
By entering the code you ask us to start providing the game right away. Once the code has been used, the game is being provided at your request and the price can no longer be refunded by withdrawal; this does not affect your rights under section 7.
After 14 days an unused code can no longer be refunded, but it stays valid for 12 months from purchase.
7. Problems during the game and complaints
If the game does not work as described (for example a technical fault on our side prevents you from finishing), contact us – during the game by phone or WhatsApp, or later by e-mail, at the latest within 2 years of purchase. We will deal with it without undue delay, at the latest within 30 days: we fix the problem, extend your code, give you a new code, or refund the price or a fair part of it.
We are not responsible for problems caused by your phone, its settings, its battery or your mobile connection, or by closures or events in the city that we cannot influence.
8. Playing safely
The game is played in the streets of a busy city. Watch the traffic, follow the rules of the road and local regulations, and respect other people and private property. Children should play with an adult. You take part at your own risk; we are responsible only for harm we cause by breaching our obligations.
9. Personal data
How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy policy.
10. Disputes
If you are not satisfied with how we handled your complaint, consumers may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, www.coi.cz), which handles out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes, or to the courts.
11. Final provisions
These terms and the contract are governed by Czech law; as a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. We may update these terms; the version valid on the day of your purchase applies to it.
